The SemTech 2010 Conference will feature the author, Rachel Lovinger, as well as key report contributors in its industry track on "Semantic Publishing".

Many companies will say they’re nimble, but very few actually are. Being nimble is about your ability to adapt quickly to the new challenges and opportunities you should be thinking about today.

Semantic Universe has announced the release of a much anticipated report on the future of publishing, entitled Nimble: A Razorfish Report on Publishing in the Digital Age. Semantic Universe was a researcher partner on the report authored by Rachel Lovinger, a Content Strategy Lead at Razorfish, one of the leading interactive agencies working with Fortune 500 clients worldwide to optimize digital content.

"To succeed as a digital content producer you need to be Nimble," Lovinger asserts in the report. "Many companies will say that they’re nimble, but very few actually are. Being nimble is about your ability to adapt quickly to the new challenges and opportunities you should be thinking about today; things like, the explosion of new media devices, the world-domination of social networks, and consumers’ growing expectation of first-class digital experiences. And it’s about how prepared you are to face the opportunities coming in 5 or 10 years, the ones that haven’t even been predicted yet."

Semantic technologies are a key component of future publishing trends, so Semantic Universe worked closely with Lovinger to explore these ideas and get straight to the experts. In over 20 interviews with people at The New York Times, the BBC, the Wall Street Journal, TalkingPointsMemo, CBS Interactive, and Next Issue Media, Lovinger spoke with semantic technology experts who have been exploring ways that linked data and semantics can change content experiences.

Many of these experts will be speaking at SemTech 2010. Lovinger herself will present her report as a featured speaker at the SemTech Conference, which takes place in San Francisco, June 21-25, 2010 at the San Francisco Hilton in Union Square. The conference's industry track, "Semantic Publishing" is one of the more highly anticipated features of the conference and, this year, is sponsored and led by Razorfish. SemTech is in its sixth year and has grown into the world's largest conference on semantic technologies.
