Metrix NEW PRO 440 Electronic Vibration Switch offers the simplicity and reliability of a switch, combined with the functionality of a vibration monitor. Using the most sophisticated remote monitoring systems available, the PRO 440 switch is also a great value, saving customers a third to half the cost per monitor point.

PRO440 Electronic Vibration Switch and Monitor

Much more than just a vibration switch, the PRO440 is a rugged, single channel, hazardous area approved, vibration monitor.

Today, plant operations have many technologies to evaluate when considering upgrading or adding vibration monitoring to plant assets. The choices range from periodic data collection to multi channel continuous online systems. In the past compromise was made between these two solutions by selecting a vibration switch to provide continuous vibration protection and avoid the cost and complexity of a multi component integrated system. Now the need for compromise is over with the introduction of the Metrix PRO440 vibration switch.

Much more than just a vibration switch, the PRO440 is a rugged, single channel, hazardous area approved, vibration monitor. Its primary job is to protect and if necessary shut down machinery if harmful levels of acceleration or velocity are detected. The fully programmable PRO440 is easy to modify in the field and ordering is simple, you always have the right configuration in stock. The PRO440 is packaged in a rugged cast aluminum NEMA housing. It's relay contact is activated when the vibration set-point is exceeded as sensed by the PRO440's internal or external piezoelectric accelerometers. The PRO440 has an internal display and a 4 to 20mA output ready to connect to your PLC or SCADA system and alarm time delays and remote reset functionally are standard.

A PRO440 will typically be used in cooling tower, fan and pumping applications. But it also has many additional applications, for instance the PRO440 can be connected to any 4 to 20mA transmitter to provide display, alarm and loop repeating.
