Today, NullApps (http://www.nullapps.com), a leading developer and launch partner of Open eBay Apps, was named a 2010 Star Developer by eBay. The company received the award in the Early Adopter category at the eBay Developers Conference in San Jose, Calif. The conference annually welcomes eBay developers, innovators and thought leaders who are revolutionizing the e-commerce landscape. NullApps was recognized as a runner-up at the 2009 conference in the same category.

“As a longtime eBay Powerseller with more than seven years of selling experience, I’ve had the unique opportunity to assess the needs of eBay sellers and develop apps that help them thrive in the competitive world of e-commerce,” said Ryan Hatfield, developer. “It is an honor to be recognized by eBay, and I look forward to continuing to develop innovative, profit-driving, seller-oriented applications.”

Since 2008, NullApps has developed three apps using the eBay API, including Quantity Manager and Price Spectre, both of which have earned the company the 2010 Star Developer Award. Quantity Manager (http://www.qtyman.com), an automatic listing management tool for eBay sellers, improves the apparent scarcity of fixed price listings to drive buying activity. Price Spectre (http://www.pricespectre.com) is a dynamic pricing agent that monitors competitors’ listings and adjusts pricing several times throughout the day to help sellers stay ahead of their competition. Both apps were developed by Ryan Hatfield, owner of NullApps and the company’s sole software engineer.

Ryan Hatfield received his Masters in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin. Over the course of his career, Hatfield has worked as a software engineer at NVIDIA and Halliburton, and developed software applications for small to midsized business owners. He is currently available for hire.
