About Brenton Harder
Brenton Harder is Managing Director, Head of Global Operational Excellence Program Execution for Credit Suisse. Based in Zürich, Switzerland, he leads a business-wide partnership and community of engaged resources empowered to drive continuous improvement and process capability by providing guidance, training, tools, and regionally-focused execution resources to deliver measureable and sustainable impact across the Bank. Brent joined Credit Suisse in late 2008, at the nadir of the global financial crisis. Since that time, his team has played a key enabling role in the Bank's ability to successfully navigate the crisis and maintain industry leadership.

After ten years in the US Marine Corps as an F/A-18 Fighter Pilot participating in Desert Shield and numerous carrier deployments to the western Pacific, Brent joined a division of the General Electric Company with offices in London and Hong Kong as the Chief Information Officer for international operations. Several years later, he moved to HSBC in New York as a Senior Vice President for Global Transaction Banking before moving in 2005 to Fidelity Investments.

With over 20 years in both the military and private sectors, Mr. Harder has authored several papers and articles on leadership and Six Sigma quality management, is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and a frequent guest speaker at industry symposiums and conferences. A strong advocate for lifelong learning, he has continued to expand his professional education with graduate degrees at the George Washington University, University of Maryland, and Mississippi State University.
