To mark the firm’s 250th anniversary, over 200 King Sturge employees will be saddling up for a 1,200 mile charity relay bike ride linking 16 of the firm’s UK offices. Starting on the 9 June, the King Sturge Cycling Challenge forms part of a nationwide charity appeal aiming to raise £250,000 this year.

The King Sturge Cycling Challenge is a relay bike ride starting in Glasgow on 9 June and linking 16 King Sturge offices in the UK. It will arrive at the firm’s London HQ in Warwick Street on 25 June. The Challenge encourages participants of all abilities to take part in their leg of the 1,200 miles with each office raising funds for the 1760 Charity Appeal.

The 1760 Charity Appeal is King Sturge’s way to celebrate its 250th Anniversary by raising funds for the two charities chosen by the King Sturge employees themselves,
the Children’s Trust, which helps young people with disabilities and complex learning needs, and male cancer charity Orchid.

To follow the progress of the participants in the Cycling Challenge, go to http://www.kingsturge1760.com/cyclingchallenge where real-time GPS tracking and daily updates will be posted by the teams.

The non-competitive challenge is an opportunity to engage with the property industry as a whole. Clients and cyclists from other property companies will be riding alongside King Sturge employees, as will be the case for instance in the team setting off from Liverpool.

The longest relay of the journey is the 150-mile Bristol to Plymouth leg. Taking place over two days it will involve over 2,000m and strong south-westerly winds.

The shortest is the City of London to West End leg which only amounts to 5 miles but will include a lot more traffic and the biggest number of riders with over 60 taking part.
