“I’m extremely excited to be working with an organization that has so much experience and such enthusiasm for supporting women in mountain biking”
Waterloo, WI (PRWEB) June 4, 2010
After jumping off to an amazing start in 2010 with three camps in California and two in British Columbia, the Trek Dirt Series is poised to expand to exciting new camp locations. Since the introduction of Dirt Series 10 years ago, over 5,000 riders have discovered and tested new skills and found so many ways to make mountain biking more fun. Now Colorado riders can join in the adventure.
The Trek Dirt Series is all about expanding riders’ boundaries. With Trek on board as title sponsor, the camps are expanding a few boundaries of their own. In June, the Dirt Series will travel to both Fruita and Boulder, Colorado, to take in the state’s legendary trails and jaw-dropping scenery.
Fruita’s camp will be hosted by Brown Cycles—they already have an amazing weekend planned including rides in the Kokopelli, 18 Mile, and Lunch Loop regions. In Boulder, the Trek Store of Boulder is preparing to show off their scenic singletrack on local favorites like Heil and Hall Ranch.
“I’m extremely excited to be working with an organization that has so much experience and such enthusiasm for supporting women in mountain biking,” says Whistler-based Dirt Series camp founder Candace Shadley. “With Trek’s support, we’ve been able to dramatically increase our resources and expand our operation for 2010. This will be our first year providing instruction in Colorado and also the first year our riders will have access to Trek’s WSD Factory Demo Team and fleet of demo bikes at every event.”
Every Trek Dirt Series camp teaches cross-country, freeride, and downhill techniques to beginner, intermediate and advanced riders. Participants come away with increased confidence, a boundless passion for mountain biking, and improved skills to keep them smiling and riding for years to come.
