The Prototyper, Inc., a leading plastic and metal prototyper based in Minnesota, announced this week that it has achieved ITAR certification, allowing it to develop prototypes related to U.S. military and defense projects.

"Achieving ITAR certification is one more milestone in our continued commitment to our customers,” said David Persons, President of The Prototyper, Inc. “Manufacturers who call on the government and need prototypes tied to the United States military or defense will be able to utilize us for all their metal and plastic needs.”

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is a federal government regulation to control the import and export of anything deemed related to military and/or defense technologies. Any person or U.S. company who wishes to engage in the manufacture and export of articles under the United States Munitions List (USML) must register with the United States Department of State to obtain a certification under ITAR.

About The Prototyper

The Prototyper is your engineering support group for metal castings, injection molding, rapid prototyping, and production run parts. With The Prototyper, you have access to over 30 different methods for the development of prototype projects and a wide array of materials. We can serve all your product development needs, from design to production parts.

Our goal is to provide engineers with a one-stop source to help them develop their products, be it metal, plastic or rapid prototypes. Engineers cut one PO and deal with one project manager - regardless of how many different parts or different materials there are in their project parameters. We do not sell you on a technology and make your project fit it. Rather, we review your program and show you the multiple options available for development, taking into account cost, material, lead-time and tolerance. Then we help you decide which works best for your project parameters. For more information contact us at 651-450-8272 http://www.theprototyper.com
