San Diego, California (PRWEB) June 4, 2010
Jefferson Jay’s 4th CD, “Yellow” is now available. Yellow is the 3rd and final offering in Jay’s “Primary Colors” trilogy. “Primary Colors” includes 2008’s “Red” and 2009’s “Blue; A Kid’s Album” and now “Yellow”, Jay’s quirkiest release to date. The colors represent what Jay hopes will be the foundation of a significant discography. 2004’s “Great Story” was Jay’s initial effort.
Jefferson Jay is a San Diego-based singer-songwriter and the front man of The Jefferson Jay Band. Jay and his group provide an eclectic brand of music, which includes rock, blues, funk, jazz, reggae and acoustic sounds to create a truly original sound. All the different sides of Jefferson’s persona shine through on this effort. “Yellow” features tracks such as “Dawson”, a tribute to all people named Dawson and “Intimate with Ludacris”, Jay’s response to the popular hip-hop artist. “Boil Me In Oil” is a touching tribute to Jay’s old Chevy Monte Carlo. Reggae and rock stand by side with serious and silly in a way that can only be described as “Jefferson Jay”.
Jefferson Jay is also known for his work cultivating the music community hosting and promoting events such as his visionary “24 Hours of Free Music” festival. He has developed a non-profit organization, The San Diego Musicians Collective, designed to further his goals of helping musicians and the community. Jefferson Jay is currently promoting his new CD “Yellow” and his “Primary Colors” trilogy, available now from Sweet Information Records and online at http://www.jeffersonjay.com
