Dolbey, a leader in providing dictation, transcription, speech recognition and coding solutions for healthcare, today announced that its Fusion Expert® solution will be integrated with the Notifi® critical test result management (CTRM) application from HIT Application Solutions.

Fusion Expert, powered by Nuance’s SpeechMagic™ speech recognition engine, offers complete front-end speech recognition and results management and provides physicians with the capability to report results from diagnostic patient procedures quickly and accurately for exceptional patient care. The Notifi application provides closed-loop communication of critical test results across radiology, laboratory, cardiology, pathology and other clinical departments. The integration of these two applications offers time savings for radiologists, provides tracking of all critical findings and allows for easy compliance with The Joint Commission, ACR, CAP and HIPAA requirements.

“By partnering with HIT’s Notifi, we have added the ability for critical test results to be distributed and reported well within The Joint Commission’s mandate," stated Aaron Weeks, Dolbey Integration Manager. "At the same time, the integration allows for a seamless transition between reporting the test results and the physician’s normal workflow.”

Added HIT Vice President Michael Rosamond, “The integration of Notifi with Fusion Expert provides accurate, timely and reliable closed-loop communication of critical test results and other vital diagnostic findings. The simple, time-saving process enables improvements in patient safety, departmental efficiency and clinician satisfaction. We are pleased to partner with Dolbey to bring this integrated offering to the rapidly expanding automated CTRM market.”
