New York, NY (PRWEB) June 5, 2010
On June 9, 2010, women’s ready to wear company Kal Rieman will be launching its Fall/Winter 2010 collection at its first Trunk Show at DCKT Contemporary Gallery in New York. With a focus on elegance and straightforward tailoring, the collection uses a men's wear influence to create strong utilitarian looks for modern women.
Having worked in the fashion industry for nearly ten years in women’s wear and men’s wear, designer Cally Rieman’s Fall/Winter collection exemplifies just that. “Tough and chic, austerity without pretense,” says Rieman. “I design clothing for women that embodies the grace and ease that makes men’s wear so powerful.” The collection was inspired by the austere looks of the 19th Century English gentleman and the sophisticated elegance of The Dandies. The heart of the collection is the tailoring story, with suits offered in a washed wool gabardine and a wool & paper fiber glen plaid. Key styles include high collar dress shirts, washed silk tunics, knife pleated leather skirts, and fencing inspired outerwear.
The Kal Rieman Trunk Show will showcase select styles from the Fall/Winter collection. During the event, guests will be able to pre-order pieces from the collection at preferred pricing.
The Trunk Show event will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at DCKT Contemporary Gallery at 195 Bowery Street in the Lower East Side. DCKT owners Dennis Christie and Ken Tyburski have been representing emerging and established contemporary artists since 2003.
