Rubicon Marketing Group announces today that April Brown has acquired a majority interest in the agency. April joined Rubicon in 2008 and has been a key figure in establishing its quadrants of expertise in data management, lead management, demand generation and marketing intelligence.
Eric Edwards, the agency’s Founder, is leaving to co-found Mi2, an organization dedicated to launching a marketing analytics platform - for marketers by marketers. Vanessa Vollum, Rubicon’s former CFO and primary shareholder, has formed Creative Performance, an organization focused leveraging the Workamajig creative services project management platform. Both Edwards and Vollum will continue participate as strategic advisors to Rubicon Marketing Group.

April Brown brings more than 15 years experience in diverse executive marketing roles. As a former CMO, Marketing Strategist and Creative Director, April has led business and consumer direct and interactive marketing initiatives for some of the world’s most respected companies, including Nautilus, Inc., Nike, BHP (Australia), Publicis and others. Her unique client-side experience provides Rubicon clients a trusted advisor with both the creativity and practicality to accomplish their marketing goals. April has developed, managed and held leadership roles for many multi-million dollar DR budgets, has successfully brought new products to market, managed and analyzed complex databases, and led several multi-channel marketing initiatives. April holds a BA with double major in Physics and Art from Reed College, Portland, Oregon.
