ClearStar.net revolutionized the background screening industry by making a robust technology solution available to players of all sizes.
Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) June 7, 2010
ClearStar.net, an innovative technology provider for the employment and tenant screening industry, announced today the celebration of their fifteenth year serving consumers of public records.
“Clearstar.net has a long-standing practice of listening to what their business owners have to say and modeling the platform based on those suggestions,” stated Dan Stevens, President and CEO of DDS, Inc. “Considering they have lasted 15 years and are still the best platform out there really says something about the people who run the company.”
As founding members of the National Association for Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS), ClearStar.net entered the background screening industry when it was still in its infancy and helped fashion the way businesses request and receive data today.
Robert Vale and Ken Dawson founded ClearStar.net in 1995 as an Internet-based data provider geared towards addressing the emerging information needs of the security industry.
After constructing and implementing the largest security information community presence on the Internet, the Security Information Management Online Network (SIMON), Vale and Dawson turned their focus to the public records industry and the development of an intranet-based product to assist in the collection and dissemination of discrete public records. In 1999, this client-server solution was re-engineered to take advantage of the interoperability of the then emerging Internet. Today the service is known as ClearStar.net.
“ClearStar.net revolutionized the background screening industry by making a robust technology solution available to players of all sizes – enabling small and medium firms to have the same abilities of larger firms,” said Les Rosen, President of Employment Screening Resources. “People new to this industry aren’t aware but ClearStar.net represented a quantum leap in the way records are processed. Standard tasks that can now be completed in a matter of moments that used to take all day.”
ClearStar.net was the industry’s first ASP in 1999 and received certification from the HR-XML Consortium in 2005. ClearStar.net entered the Microsoft Certified Program in 2006 and received recognition for their competency in Business Intelligence in 2009.
“It’s critical to the sustainability of our client relationships that we can nimbly adapt to new technological needs. ClearStar.net views this as a challenge and works with us to create solutions,” explained Darren Dupriest, President and CEO of Validity Screening Solutions. “ClearStar.net has been a valued partner in Validity’s operations for almost all of their 15 years.”
In 2008, ClearStar.net introduced an open integration platform and new developer community initiative (http://developer.clearstar.net) to make it easier for service providers to customize their experience and to encourage other information providers to write their own interface to the ClearStar.net platform.
“ClearStar.net has given us the platform we need to focus completely on taking care of the customer instead of worrying about production,” explains William C. Barada, Vice President of Barada Associates. “As a small business, they’ve really allowed me to maximize every dollar that I spend.”
ClearStar.net was recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the 5000 fastest-growing private companies in the country for 2007 and 2008 after reporting three year sales growth of 121% and 117% respectively.
“We are fortunate to be fueled by passionate and dedicated clients who have inspired us to constantly strive in our contribution towards making the world a safer place,” stated Robert J. Vale, CEO of ClearStar.net. “Our team has been a major player in shaping an industry into a profession, and each member -- past and present -- has played an important role for which I am grateful”.
“There are great challenges ahead in the screening profession and I am confident that ClearStar.net, our clients and our valued strategic partners will be instrumental in ensuring safer places to work, to live and to play,” concluded Vale.
ClearStar.net celebrated their anniversary by moving into new, larger and more progressive office space in Alpharetta, Georgia, earlier this year.
