Sunrise Films is proud to announce is has acquired the rights to produce an autobiography of Anna Strekalova.

The interest was roused by the interview of Strekalova, recorded on December 14, 2008, about her life.

Sunrise is going to make “Prisoner B-482”, the movie about that time, about people, who were wrongly accused of treason and sentenced to Gulag and other labor camps, where were not only unimaginable cruelty and brutality, unbearable working conditions and death, but kindness of some people and willing to risk their own lives in order to help others to survive. When prisoners were rehabilitated and returned to their home they were shunned by their families, had trouble finding a job, and found it difficult to find their place in a life that went on without them. Anna’s autobiographic story reflects not only her life but the life of the huge social class.

The producers are confident that they could convey the tragedy of that time to the audience.
