The Nielsen Company's latest study finds that 21% of households have "cut the cord" and given up their land line for their cell phone, yet business owners are still being duped into purchasing overpriced Yellow Page ads in what is becoming a vain effort to acquire new customers in what is rapidly becoming an old and outdated marketing technique. Pete Mitchell says he has the answer that will bring loads of customers to any business' door.

"I still have trouble believing how much my client was overpaying." the nation’s leading authority on small business marketing, Pete Mitchell chuckles. "Like most businesses they were convinced they had a pretty good deal." Pete is an Internet Marketing specialist who offers business owners a free DVD-Course on how to dramatically increase the effectiveness of their marketing dollars.

Even though the media is continuing to report that the worst of the recession has passed, most small business owners are still feeling the heavy strain, where every dollar counts. "I'm always meeting with business owners who are spending $600- $800 a month for a Yellow Page ad that brings them little to no business.” Pete continues. “The ad they invest in, looks just like every other ad on that page! What's worse is that they're paying every single month for marketing that can't be changed, even if it isn’t working.”

The Nielsen Company’s latest study finds that 21% of households (up from 15% in 2007) have “cut the cord” and given up their land line for their cell phone. Yet, business owners are still trying to acquire new customers using the static Yellow Page method despite the alarming and serious decrease of ROI (return on investment) of Yellow Page advertising. “Pete Mitchell’s free DVD saved me from continuing to make huge marketing blunders that have cost me thousands of dollars over the years.", admits Wayne Farris, a successful small business owner in Orange County. “The bottom line is that most business owners get a Yellow Page ad because they had a rep come sit in their office one day. After cutting a huge check to a faceless company, they sit eagerly staring at the phone and whisper a quiet prayer that someone will call. There goes another ten grand down the drain!” Pete Mitchell laughs again. "Business owners are interested in moving away from the Yellow Pages to Google and other search engines, yet very few know the correct steps to take in order to tap into this gushing internet lead source."

Pete Mitchell’s free DVD-Course includes clips taken from the 2010 Marketing and Advertising Super Conference where Mitchell was a featured speaker. “The DVD is designed to help business owners and entrepreneurs turn their websites into lead generating machines.” Pete explains. The videos reveals the two most costly mistakes business owners make trying to implement an Internet marketing strategy:

1.    Building a website that lacks a clear purpose or sales path a prospect should follow when on that company’s site,
2.    Paying some web development company to make “pretty” websites designed more like a work of art than a functional component to a marketing strategy. No “Google love” (getting listed on the first page of a Google search)

According to Mitchell’s business partner Mike Greco, “Most small businesses have been sold a bunch of lies about how to get in front of prospective clients. We show businesses how to get new clients the simple way - which is to simply get in front of prospects who are already looking for them.”
