Despite a size disadvantage, Ruler mirrors the practicality and ease of a physical ruler. To accurately measure objects larger than your device, the app features a movable marker that snaps.

We thought for sure our new iPad would offer a decent solution. We were wrong, so following the mescaline experience, we set out to carve our own Ruler.

"Alexa was cutting a Peruvian Torch cactus, and we didn't have a real ruler. We thought for sure our new iPad would offer a decent solution. We were wrong, so following the mescaline experience, we set out to carve our own Ruler."

Andrew Kaz co-created Classics for iPhone in 2008. Classics peaked at #4 on the US charts and became the inspiration for Apple's recent revolution in digital reading, iBooks.
