Jetset Studios, one of the entertainment industry's leading digital agencies, recently launched the digital campaign for Universal Pictures Get Him to the Greek, starring Jonah Hill and Russell Brand. The announcement was jointly made today by Jetset Studios co-founders Russell Scott and Patrick Young.
In the raunchy spirit of the Apatow produced film, Jetset Studios created an integrated experiential campaign built around the film's hedonistic rock star, Aldous Snow (Russell Brand), and his chaperone, Aaron Green (Jonah Hill).
GetHimtotheGreek.net conveys the urgent pace of the film with a series of character-driven state-of-the-art set pieces. Viewers can further explore the world of the film through a network of related rock and roll sites: the "official" Infant Sorrow website, the Pinnacle Records label site, and MySpace and Facebook pages for Jackie Q - Aldous Snow's estranged true love.
Jetset CEO Russell Scott states, "It is always awesome to work with the Apatow team and our friends at Universal. We are very, very proud of this campaign."
Jetset president Patrick Young notes, "Every aspect of the campaign is seamlessly interlinked and sharable with just one click. The entire campaign provides multiple touch points for interaction, and connects with all the platforms where viewers are likely to spend their online time."
Get Him to the Greek reunites Jonah Hill and Russell Brand with Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas Stoller in the story of a record company executive with three days to drag an uncooperative rock legend to Hollywood for a comeback concert. The comedy is the latest film from producer Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Funny People).
Aaron Green (Hill) has just been given a career-making assignment from his record mogul boss, Sergio Roma (Sean Combs): Fly to London and escort British rock god Aldous Snow (Brand) to L.A.'s world famous Greek Theatre for the first-stop on a huge comeback tour. Due to a bad break up and nose-diving career, Aldous has fallen off the wagon and is now a drunken disaster. As the countdown to the concert begins, one innocent young man has 72 hours to get from London to L.A. (via New York and Las Vegas) and deliver his charge safe and sound… all while trying to remain faithful to his med student girlfriend (Elisabeth Moss). He may have to coax, lie to, enable and party with Aldous, but Aaron will get him to the Greek.
Jetset Studios has created original video, online campaigns, ARGs and branding strategies for Sony Pictures, Warner Brothers Pictures, The Walt Disney Company, Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks Pictures, 20th Century Fox, TNT, FX and NBC. Jetset Studios serves as writer/director/producer Judd Apatow's online creative agency of choice, having produced viral features and websites for Funny People, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Step Brothers, Superbad, The 40 Year-Old Virgin, Talladega Nights, and Knocked Up. Other studio projects include Hot Tub Time Machine, The Hangover, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Obsessed, Tropic Thunder (2009 Webby Award Honoree), Bee Movie, Alvin & The Chipmunks, and Zombieland.
