Stickler Signs to bring "Green" Solar Energy Technology to power to make new LED business signs.

Leading manufacturer of producing high quality and low maintenance signs, Strickler Signs, has partnered with Secco, Inc. to bring "Green" Solar Energy Technology to power new signage for LED business signs, using Solar P.V. Panels.

The new signage will utilize programmable electronic light-emitting diode (LED) from message centers. Currently, they are 99% of LED message centers in the installed United States and use the most energy efficient method of lighting. By utilizing LED for signage, there is a great decrease in electric use than the obsolete bulb units. Other components common to signs are energy efficient solid state transformers, electronic ballasts, LED building accent lighting and LED illumination of channel letters. Only single faced “box signs” can be practically illuminated with LEDs presently. The more common free standing or pylon signs that are double faced require large amounts of LEDs to consume more power than signs illuminated with fluorescent lamps powered by electronic ballasts.

Strickler Signs has already devoted a 12,000 square foot production area that was previously illuminated by fluorescent lamps powered by magnetic ballasts. The company has saved $175.00 of electric per month after converting the ballasts to energy efficient electronic ballasts. For years, Strickler Signage has recycled scrap aluminum, steel and copper. All of the waste cardboard and plastic sign faces are stored in bins with the contents being gathered periodically by the Adams County Rescue Mission, who then forward the material to the recyclers. Everybody also discards their plastic bottles and containers into a tub with the contents also going to the mission.
