As part of its global environmental initiatives, Ergotron Inc. announced today that it has successfully achieved ISO-14001 certification for its Eagan Minnesota facility.

"This is a major achievement for Ergotron and all its employees," said Joel Hazzard, president and CEO of Ergotron. "Seventy to eighty percent of potential waste at the company's headquarters/manufacturing facility already gets recycled or re-used. We are doing our part to continually improve our environmental stewardship."

The ISO 14001 Standard is an internationally accepted standard for environmental management systems. It was created by the International Organization for Standardization to help organizations document, standardize, and improve the manner in which their operations interact with the environment while complying with related environmental laws, regulations and requirements.

Ergotron's Environmental Management System (EMS) works to ensure that Ergotron's activities, products and services have a minimal impact on or risk to the environment, including: energy efficiency, resource conservation, waste management, and chemical control among other initiatives.

"Ergotron is committed to reducing its impacts on the environment by using environmentally sound business practices to manage its activities, products and services," said Joe Carroll, Ergotron quality director. We design our products and operate our facilities in a manner that minimizes our impact on the environment and use of natural resources."
