The extended recording time and multi-channel recording and playback features of the VDR110 digital video recorder continue the innovative designs customers have come to expect in SVSi's voLANte video-over-IP products.

Southern Vision Systems, Inc., (SVSi) the leading manufacturer of video-over-IP distribution equipment, is pleased to announce availability of its model VDR110 Multi-channel Digital Video Recorder. In addition to 80-hrs of continuous recording of one video stream, it also functions as a multi-channel digital video recorder supporting up to four independent DVRs – all in a 3U rack-mount enclosure. Each DVR supports recording and playback at the same time for up to eight simultaneous tasks – four recordings and four playbacks – with each task targeting a different play-list item. The VDR110 will be demonstrated at SVSi's Booth N2269 at Infocomm 2010 in Las Vegas on June 9-12.

With its 3U configuration and gigabit Ethernet connection, the VDR110 is intended for video-head-end placement with the ability to record from or playback to any voLANte video-over-IP encoder or decoder. A multi-seat license of SVSi's Conductor Pro network management software is included with each unit so that users can record their desired video streams from anywhere on the video network through an attached PC running Conductor Pro. The VDR110 expands on the capabilities of its predecessor model VDR106 Digital Video Recorder which has single-channel recording and playback up to 10-hrs.

When used in conjunction with voLANte video-over-IP VMT105, VTC103, and VRT107 encoders and the voLANte VRR104 decoder, the VDR110 is a simple and effective way to deliver high-fidelity video and audio when and where its needed. Its time-shift feature and multi-channel playback capability allow a single live video stream to be delayed by varying amounts and distributed to up to four different locations at four different delays – ranging from several seconds to several hours. A simple web-based interface allows remote access and control when not attached to the local area network.
