The study only includes American organizations. To determine which companies were the most productive, the Profiles Research Institute analyzed financial data from over 2,200 publicly traded companies. A series of comprehensive studies were conducted on each company listed in the AMPC study, to identify the "best practices" exhibited by each organization.
