$500 rebate offered for traveling to Hawaii to tour beautiful Bamboo prefab homes.

Here’s the bad news. Most of Bamboo Living’s unique ICC-ES code certified homes are located on the Hawaiian Islands. So even though there’s been a surge of interest, it’s not very convenient for folks from Australia, Europe and the US Mainland to take a home tour.

And here’s the good news: Bamboo Living announced today a new “Free Aloha” program to make it easy for out of State residents to see one of their beautiful bamboo homes up close and personal. Anyone who travels to Hawaii and buys a Bamboo Living prefab home package will get a $500 rebate for their travel, which will be applied to the sale.

Tour a green prefab home and explore the natural beauty of Hawaii? Talk about the perfect eco-adventure.

“Most people have the mistaken belief that bamboo houses are only suitable for an island environment because that’s where the majority of them are located currently,” says Carrie Branovan, Chief Marketing Officer and President of Bamboo Living. “The experience of actually being inside a bamboo home transforms people’s understanding of adaptability to all regions and climates. We just hosted a couple that traveled from Australia to see our homes. They both gasped at the sight of the first house they visited and agreed they had no idea how magnificent and natural a Bamboo Living Home could be until then. They have since decided to install the first bamboo home in Australia near Sydney—but it definitely took traveling to Hawaii to open their minds to the possibilities.”

“Bamboo Living Homes can be insulated for any climate, are ICC-ES code certified, and can meet Energy Star requirements. They can be permitted most anywhere in the world and they’re also LEED certifiable," adds David Sands, Chief Architect and co-founder of the company. “Bamboo Living Homes take green building to a level. Not only are they beautiful, strong, built to withstand hurricane and earthquake conditions, they are carefully crafted by artisans using the most rapidly renewable building material on earth. Each of our 1000 sq ft homes stores 28 tons of carbon and conserves 12 acres of forest land. That’s something about which our customers can feel very proud.”

Bamboo Living’s in house team support both the homeowner and the general contractor regardless of where they are located. And with the new “Free Aloha” initiative, more homebuyers and builders will be able to travel to Hawaii and learn how easy and fast it is to install an energy efficient green prefab home.

Bamboo Living Homes, founded in 1995, is the first and only company in the world to offer ICC-ES code certified homes made from Bamboo. The mission of the company is to inspire a paradigm shift in the building industry by offering a superior alternative to timber building methods, using bamboo, the most rapidly renewable building material on Earth.
