The First Rehabilitation Life Insurance Company of America has selected SunGard’s iWorks financial management and statutory reporting solutions to help it centralize financial information and simplify the process of aggregating financial data from disparate sources. SunGard is also working with First Rehab Life on implementation. SunGard offers consulting services for integration, technology infrastructure, and project governance with the iWorks solutions suite.
While maintaining a focus on disability and excess medical care products, First Rehab Life is expecting to gradually expand into new products and geographical areas. First Rehab Life will use SunGard’s iWorks to support the financial management requirements for its lines of business and provide transparency into financial data by integrating the statutory reporting and accounting solutions to support financial analysis. It will also use the audit trail features to support audit compliance.
Bruce Wallach, executive vice president and chief financial officer at First Rehab Life, said “SunGard came in with a team of experts that assessed our technology and infrastructure needs and proposed an implementation plan that met all of our requirements. As a long time user of SunGard’s investment product, iWorks EPS, we appreciate SunGard’s professional and high-quality customer support.”
Greg Webber, president of SunGard’s insurance business, said, “Our services-led engagement model helps ensure that our solutions and services are aligned to the strategic objectives of our customers. SunGard’s combined strength of its solutions and consulting services for systems integration, technology infrastructure design and project management provides customers with a comprehensive solution for their insurance technology platform.”
