Corps of Engineers Awards LRS Federal 5-Year, $25m Remediation Contract

The US Army Corps of Engineers' Omaha District awarded LRS Federal, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned engineering and environmental services company, with a five-year contract worth up to $25M to provide environmental cleanup services for the Corps of Engineers and their customers throughout the United States.

LRS Federal LLC (LRS), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVO) engineering and technical services company, was awarded a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) by the Omaha District of the Corps of Engineers to provide Environmental Remediation Services. This contract has a five-year period of performance with a maximum value of $25M and is targeted for use by the Corps of Engineers’ Northwestern Division and their nationwide customers. The contract awarded will include firm-fixed price task orders for a wide range of environmental services at various known or suspected Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) sites. Services may include, but are not limited to, the control of environmental contamination from pollutants, toxic substances, and hazardous materials.

This is the second MATOC contract awarded to LRS Federal by the Omaha District and will allow LRS Federal to offer a full suite of environmental services to the Corps of Engineers and their customers. The first contract, for Environmental Consulting Services, provides for environmental planning, compliance and other non-remediation services. The specific scope of work to be performed under this remediation contract includes any combination of the following services: Work plans; studies with associated reports; multiple phases of field investigations; Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Facility Investigation (RFI); monitoring well installation and sampling; short and long-term monitoring; support; data management; data interpretation; management of investigative derived waste; environmental and human health risk assessments; well abandonment; meetings; public meeting participation; hydrological and soil studies; project reports; engineering support and/or design, including Operations and Maintenance for HTRW sites; energy evaluations for remediation systems; remedial action plans; remedial action; site closeout/decision documents; future project programming and scheduling support.
