Richmond, VA (PRWEB) June 10, 2010
Richmond area Chick-fil-A® locations today announced a unique partnership with NuRide and RideFinders to reward commuters with new spicy chicken sandwiches when they moo’v to a greener commute by carpooling, vanpooling, biking, walking, telecommuting or taking the bus instead of driving alone.
“Chick-fil-A is thrilled to reward commuters for moo’ving to a greener commute,” said Jody Wetherill, Chick-fil-A Area Marketing Director, “We also know how expensive it is to commute in this economy and we are delighted to help participants stretch their dollars with free spicy chicken sandwiches and special savings.”
“Moo’v to a Green Commute” will run from June 7th through December 1, 2010 throughout the greater Richmond area. To participate in the event, commuters can sign up for free on the NuRide web site and earn points for every carpool, vanpool, bike, walk, telework or bus trip they record. Points can then be redeemed for a variety of rewards including coupons for a free Chick-fil-A spicy chicken sandwich with the purchase of a lunch or dinner meal. The first 1,000 commuters to sign up and take 10 trips will receive a coupon for a free spicy chicken sandwich. Participants can also earn coupons for free spicy chicken sandwiches for every friend they refer who signs up and takes 10 trips. RideFinders Emergency Ride Home program is also offered so commuters can get a free ride home in case of an emergency.
“We are extremely excited to partner with Chick-fil-A,” said Von Tisdale, Executive Director of RideFinders and Rick Steele, CEO of NuRide, “and we know these delicious rewards will keep commuters moo’ving in the right direction with greener trips, less traffic and cleaner air!”
“Moo’v to a Greener Commute” is projected to reduce 40,000 car trips resulting in 1,000,000 fewer miles driven and the prevention of more than 400 tons of emissions. For more information, please visit http://www.ChickfilAMoovsGreen.com.
