Ed Begley, Jr., currently one of the hottest speakers on eco-living in America, kicks off PlanetHugger Boston 2010, organizers announced today, June 10, 2010. This year’s event takes place Saturday, July 24 and Sunday, July 25 at the Seaport International World Trade Center on the Boston waterfront. Ed Begley will speak and be PlanetHugger’s Host on Saturday, July 24 while promoting his message to Live Simply So That Others Can Simply Live.
Response at PlanetHugger’s 2009 sister event in New Jersey was tremendous, as Ed Begley’s empowering and humorous message on sustainable living was met with ovations and cheers from both attendees and exhibitors alike. Ted Danson, who shares Ed’s commitment to eco-living and presented at the New Jersey event, introduced his friend Ed Begley as his “environmental hero.”
A well-known and respected actor with an impressive résumé that includes both television and feature films, Ed Begley stands out as a committed activist who truly walks the talk. He sets a vivid example by living in a modest, energy-efficient home, driving an electric car long before it became a trend, and often riding his bicycle to Hollywood events. His ultimate do-it-yourself book, Living Like Ed: A Guide to the Eco-Friendly Life, received rave reviews for offering practical, green-living guidance.
“New Jersey’s PlanetHugger event brought together a huge number of sustainable companies, products and consumers. There was a powerful energy and sense of hope for the future that I could really feel. I can’t wait to participate in the inaugural Boston event this year,” says Ed of his participation in the first annual celebration.
Organizers are thrilled to welcome Ed and anticipate an exciting, motivating session that’s sure to spark lively Q&A. Ed offers intelligent, realistic, and up-to-the-minute advice for making small changes to achieve big impact. Ed Begley’s appearance is truly not to be missed and is expected to draw enthusiastic crowds.
