Braam's new music video "Burlington Northern", produced and directed by Chicago filmmaker Jerry Vasilatos, has been honored with nominations in directing and cinematography by the World Music Independent Film Festival. Starring up and coming indie starlet Andre'a Eve and newcomer Ivan Ballester, the video is a lyrical journey set against the changing seasons of the Midwest.
Shot by Vasilatos and cinematographer Trevi Albin, "Burlington Northern" was produced between January and August of 2009, relying on winter and summer seasons to provide a visual backdrop for the band's song reflecting on the passage of time, memories, and moving on.
This is Vasilatos' first music video. The song "Burlington Northern" is from Braam's upcoming CD release, "Living Room", to be released in Fall of 2010 . The World Music Independent Film Festival will be held at the Capital Hilton in Washington DC on August 21st, 2010. "Burlington Northern" was featured as the WMIFF's video of the day on their Twitter feed June 12, 2010 (http://twitter.com/WMIFF/music). The music video is also part of the WMIFF's interactive people's choice competition, where it is currently ranked at #1. Voting continues through the end of July at: http://www.wmiff.com/?q=music/vote-peoples-choice-music.
Vasilatos is currently wrapping up writing duties on a spec sitcom pilot, and producing a documentary on Greek American veteran John Giannaris, whose O.S.S. commando group disrupted German occupational forces behind enemy lines in Greece during World War II.
