Past News Releases

Thermoprene, specializing in the custom manufacture and supply of plastic extrusions, rubber extrusions and aluminum extrusions, today announced that it's offering Oil Boom Connectors to assist with the Gulf of Mexico oil clean up.

In stock and available for immediate delivery, Thermoprene's oil containment boom connector is an integral part of the floating oil boom containment systems. The aluminum oil boom connector is extruded from 6061-T6 alloy. This is a key element in containing oil during rough weather conditions, like strong winds or tides.

Oil Boom Connectors are produced to meet ASTM F2438-04. This is the standard connection system for oil containment boom connectors that BP requires.

Oil Boom Connectors are designed to be compatible with other oil containment boom connectors, including "Z" Connectors and the Light Duty Mini-Slide Connectors. Thermoprene offers no warranty of performance when mating to other manufacturers' standardized systems. Customer is responsible for verifying compatibility.
