Florida based Web Broadcaster http://www.daoneradio.com caters to an emerging Rap, Hip-Hop and R&B audience seeking an alternative to what urban radio has become in an over commercialized music industry.

The station's current format is a mixture of top 100 urban hits as well as music from up and coming artists and is headed by Miami rap music veteran Sam “Smokey Dee” Hayes and Popular Miami radio and club deejay Jonathan “DJ Primo” Padilla. Both have played key roles in Miami’s commercial and underground rap music scene, publishing their own music and artists since 1987. Both have also worked with Miami Rap music heavy weights in the past but are now turning their focus to working with up and coming and more established artists.

When asked what makes their radio station different from thousands already in existence, DaOneRadio.com managers explain that, “most internet radio stations are really not that much different in programming from commercial radio. We focus on music that would do well on commercial radio but for whatever reason gets ignored. We also realize that since we have been deeply involved in Miami’s music scene for so many years that we possess original music and contacts that most other radio stations simply won’t have access to.”

Their approach is more of a grass roots, street level effort to reach listeners directly utilizing internet and new mobile device technology that allows their audience to listen to their radio station on mobile devices and traditional computers but the difference doesn’t end there. Additionally, when it comes to breaking new music DaOneRadio.com managers also state, “we recognize most up and coming artists don’t understand the importance of and often have no idea how Sound-scan, BDS, Barcodes and other professional audience measurement tools work and many of our music professionals don’t take the time to teach them”.

Daoneradio.com hopes to fill this gap by providing these artists with an outlet that provides these services and the actual experience that aspiring artists need to succeed in an ever changing music business environment.

Music industry executives will also be glad to know that DaOneRadio.com also provides 3rd party airplay monitoring reports that allow them to know what songs are being listened to and how well they are being received by a real urban audience.

By providing professional music, services and audience data similar to what large corporate radio stations provide but on a smaller, local scale enables DaOneRadio.com to expose the recording industry to new music that would otherwise not be known about by anyone outside of Miami’s independent rap music community.
