Hollywood, FL (PRWEB) June 13, 2010
ReStockIt.com, a leading online retailer of office supplies and cleaning products, earned the prestigious 2010 Business of the Year Award from the South Florida Business Journal.
The award solidifies ReStockIt.com as one of the fastest growing, entrepreneurial and most customer-focused operations in South Florida.
“The great thing about winning the award is that each and every employee in the company can take pride in knowing their hard work has been recognized,” ReStockIt.com Co-founder and Co-CEO David Redlich said. “The award is a testament to their teamwork and their desire to make ReStockIt.com the premier online retail source for small business.”
ReStockIt.com was chosen from among three finalists in the category of businesses with 25 employees or fewer.
The award reinforces ReStockIt.com’s recent growth numbers, highlighted by yet another rise in the Internet Retailer Top 500 list. ReStockIt.com advanced 49 spots to No. 365 in the annual list compiled by Internet Retailer, which provides the most comprehensive analysis of North America's 500 largest e-retailers based on annual web sales. The company’s 41% increase in revenue from 2008 to 2009 makes ReStockIt.com the 22nd fastest growing retailer in the Internet Retailer web-only group. ReStockIt.com also moved from No. 13 to No. 12 in the office supply category.
“We expected to have this kind of impact on the online office supply market, but even we didn’t think it would happen this fast,” said ReStockIt.com Co-founder and Co-CEO Matt Kuttler.
Founded in 2004, ReStockIt.com specializes in helping small businesses and consumers by offering office supplies, restaurant & cleaning supplies, tools and electronics at greatly reduced rates.
ReStockIt.com’s growth has continued into this year. ReStockIt hit record levels in Q1 2010 on revenue and gross profits with 51% and 35% increases, respectively, over Q1 2009.
ReStockIt.com attributes the growth to a newly instituted custom-built order profitability system that helps ensure customers get the best prices on their supplies. Among the most prominent site modifications, ReStockIt.com recently added a Go Green section for consumers looking for environmentally friendly products at reduced prices.
The SFBJ 2010 Business of the Year Award recognizes excellence and outstanding performance in the business community, as judged by the editorial department of the South Florida Business Journal, along with deans from South Florida business schools, past honorees and prominent business leaders.
The SFBJ covers Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. This is the second time in three years that ReStockIt.com has claimed the award; ReStockIt.com previously won Business of the Year honors in 2008.
ReStockIt.com was also one of three finalists for the coveted Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Good to Great award for 2010, presented to the South Florida business that provides a corporate culture of community outreach while delivering bottom line success.
“We look forward to ReStockIt.com’s continued growth in the coming years and expect to see ReStockIt.com’s name associated with affordable, quality online supplies for many years to come,” Redlich said.
