We are proud to announce the launch of version 3.0 on June 21, 2010, with even more privacy, speed and features than ever before
Victoria, BC (PRWEB) June 23, 2010
Sending a huge file shouldn't take forever or involve wasting time filling out signup forms or being spammed for your efforts. The folks at LargeFilesASAP.com have asked those same questions for six years and have come up with a resounding No.
LargeFilesASAP has been serving up hundreds of thousands of huge files since Version 1.0 in 2004. "We are proud to announce the launch of version 3.0 on June 21, 2010, with even more privacy, speed and features than ever before," says Larry Cole, VP of Enterprise Relations.
Larry explained, "When we started our service we decided to focus on three areas:
1) There is no signup required to just send a file. Why make it harder than it has to be.
2) No advertising. 'Nuff said.
3) No Spam. We've sent out one email to our user-base in six years and it was just recently, to announce the new LargeFilesASAP.com website. People don't want to use something for free then discover there actually WAS a huge cost (privacy)."
How is LargeFilesASAP V3.0 better? Well for one, they've upgraded all the code that made uploads very slow during high traffic periods. Servers get faster and code gets better over time and they've striven to make sure we're always on top of the changing mix." Faster means less time staring at the upload progress bar and means more time for doing other stuff," says Larry. LargefFilesASAP also made their service more secure and robust. "When you get as many users as we have, you need services that can constantly grow with the customers. And finally, after a lot of support and feedback from our users, the Members Area is open for business," Larry said.
The member's Area is for users who constantly send files to people as part of their job (graphic designer, architect, musician or engineer etc) and who will want to have a record of who got which file.Uses will also want a place for other people to upload files to you (drop box). Users might also need to have several people uploading/sending files in your organization says Larry. "We feel that LargefilesASAP makes it easy and fast to do all those things."
LargeFilesASAP is proud to bring new technology to bear on a problem that's starting to affect more and more people: Sending lots of big files. Oh, and what about privacy? They made the decision to not use cloud storage because they felt they cannot control what happens to the data or files of users, despite best efforts. With version 3.0, all customer files temporarily reside on servers in largeFilesASAP's own data centre assuring users of the utmost in privacy.
Larry finished by saying, "LargeFilesASAP is easy to use and free for files up to 2GB**." LargeFilesASAP is owned and operated by iWormhole Communications Corporation (Canada).
