'Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous' host, Robin Leach, called it the 'sale of the century'. It was the real estate transaction that made Michael Jackson the owner of what would come to be called the Neverland Ranch. I am the realtor who made that sale.

The June 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death will be a sad reminder of the talented musician and pop icon we lost last year. A new book promises to shed more light on a part of his life that the public has never before seen.

In Gloria Berlin’s newly released book “Michael Jackson: In Search of Neverland,” the author, who was the realtor chosen by Michael Jackson to find his dream home, talks about the ups and downs in the search she undertook with the legendary singer. That year-long search would include Berlin and Jackson visiting many luxury estates and ranches before Jackson fell in love with the property that came to be known as Neverland Ranch.

Gloria had an advantage over other realtors: a neighbor of the Jackson family, she had known Michael for years. By witnessing the demands of his private life, she understood his need for a home that could become a haven.

Mrs. Berlin first met Michael when he was 12 years old - when The Jackson 5 were at the top of the pop music world. Her reminiscences and anecdotes give a fresh perspective to the personal and vulnerable nature that the King of Pop hid from the rest of the world, and features delightful - and tearful - stories that give readers a peek into the private demons that may have haunted him in later life.

ABOUT GLORIA BERLIN:
Gloria Rhoads Berlin began her life in Hollywood as an actress, but then transitioned into publicity and journalism, writing for magazines such as Hollywood Times, Hollywood Night Life, and Hollywood Entertainer Weekly. By the 1970s, Gloria had moved on to real estate, and she and her late husband Morton W. Berlin formed the Merlin Land Investment Corp. Gloria's primary focus in real estate became listing and selling luxury residential homes, paving the way for her to become the broker on the sale of the century, Michael Jackson's purchase of the ranch that came to be known as Neverland.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous host, Robin Leach, called it the 'sale of the century'. It was the real estate transaction that made Michael Jackson the owner of what would come to be called the Neverland Ranch. I am the realtor who made that sale. This story is about Michael Jackson, whom I first met when he was in his teens, and how I helped the King of Pop make his dreams come true and acquire his dream home, Neverland Ranch. Michael Jackson was one of the most brilliant men I have ever known in my life, certainly not the Wacko Jacko described in the media. He was so thoughtful and decisive as a client that he was a joy to work with. He is the only celebrity client that really knew what he wanted - where, when and how. I hope this exclusive telling of my friendship with Michael and the extraordinary adventure that was the search for Neverland will reveal his true motivations and intentions, and it is my hope that you will enjoy this book about Michael Jackson, the King of Pop.

Mrs. Gloria Berlin is available to do print and online interviews, as well as television and radio appearances about her book and her experiences with Michael. Schedule an interview for your outlet/blog today by contacting A. Murray at 310.651.0304.
