The Better Business Bureau of Metropolitan Washington DC & Eastern Pennsylvania (BBB) has accredited Envision EMI, LLC, a Virginia-based company that provides leadership development and life success skills training to high-achieving students, and has awarded it a rating of “A+.”

According to its Web site, accreditation and the top rating indicate “the BBB's degree of confidence that the business is operating in a trustworthy manner” and making good faith efforts to resolve customer concerns.

“Delivering a top quality educational experience is the core of our business,” said Shane Hedges, Envision EMI president, “and we are pleased that the BBB recognizes our commitment to world-class service for our students and their families, including our prompt and courteous resolution of the isolated concerns that may arise.”

Throughout most of its 25-year history, Envision EMI has enjoyed the BBB’s highest ranking, Hedges said. He noted that the company has hosted nearly 600,000 high-achieving students at its leadership and life success skills programs during the past quarter-century, with only a handful of complaints to the BBB. For example, Hedges indicated the company’s complaint ratio with the BBB was less than one one-hundredth of one percent from 2006 through 2008.

The company experienced a temporary downgrade in its BBB rating last year, but Hedges said it occurred as a result of challenges that students and the company faced during a single event—the 2009 Presidential Youth Inaugural Conferences—which encountered a few of the same logistical difficulties that overwhelmed the nation’s capital during the historic inauguration of President Obama. Even that one event generated only 70 complaints to the BBB out of the more than 15,300 students attending the conferences, he said.

“We have always valued building a trusting relationship with our students and their families, and earning this status as a BBB Accredited Business will add to their confidence in our commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards of conduct,” Hedges said.

The BBB's letter grades are based on a proprietary ratings formula that takes into account 17 weighted factors, using objective information and actual incidences of business behavior that have been verified and evaluated by BBB professionals. They replaced a less detailed rating system last June.

Envision EMI, LLC is America’s leading provider of leadership and life success skills training for high-achieving young people. Through its experiential leadership education programs, Envision EMI has educated, motivated and inspired nearly 600,000 students during its 25-year history.
