Forma Gym, LLC, downtown Walnut Creek’s preeminent fitness facility.
Imagine group exercise classes called Bags & Gloves, or Vinyasa Flow Yoga, a 600-foot bouldering rock-climbing wall, and cardio movie theater that has a 12-foot screen and surround sound. Imagine all of this surrounded in spa services that includes massage and spray tanning. These attributes are part of Forma Gym’s 6,000-square-foot newly completed renovation that will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 30, 2010. Also featured is 60 feet of turf for stretch and training, as well as the “Real Room” that houses the most technologically advanced indoor cycles, called the RealRyder®. “We are the only fitness facility in Northern California to house the RealRyder®,” says Jackson.
Located at 1410 North California Boulevard in downtown Walnut Creek, the gym has been in business since January 2009. Realizing that the wow factor was missing in Walnut Creek fitness facilities, Jackson and his partner Mandana Nejad designed Forma Gym’s first-floor addition to be an adrenaline rush. Forma Gym’s concept is to think outside the fitness box.
The group exercise room adds to the wow factor as it is surrounded with traditional ballet bars and contemporary TRX straps. With the Bay Area’s top fitness professionals providing over forty group exercise classes per week, the group exercise room has a bamboo one-inch suspended floor that allows its member to select from A to Z (Abs workout to Zumba®).
How about getting your cardio on in Forma Gym’s Cardio Movie Theater or hang out with other members while you cardio through a special sport night? From featured films and special fitness events, its all a part of thinking outside the fitness box.
Because Forma Gym is a playground for fitness, there is something for everyone. Forma's "Kidz Program" features youth special group exercise classes of yoga, rock climbing, Zumba®, boot camp, and special cardio movie time.
The facility has over 50 of the Bay Area’s top personal trainers, such as IFBB Pro body builder Tracy Beckham, who says Forma Gym is “the biggest toy box for personal trainers.” A twenty-year personal training veteran, Beckham says that "Forma is the top training facility in Walnut Creek". Performance coach Dave Miller trains some of the Bay Area’s top-level athletes at Forma Gym. He says Forma allows him to maintain his philosophy of excellence.
So if you are tired of the mundane and the traditional workout doesn’t keep you going, Forma Gym would like to ask you, “What motivates you?”
