Looking for some summer fun the whole family will enjoy but won’t break the bank? Waterville Valley Resort has announced its new all-inclusive “Summer Unlimited” package from now to Columbus Day, visitors who stay at Waterville Valley pay one fee to enjoy a wide range of activities. In June, prices start at $37 per person for a family of four.
“Families love the Summer Unlimited package because it means the kids don’t have to come running to Mom and Dad every time they want to do something,” says Jim Wefers, of the Resort Association. “Of course, Mom and Dad like not having to pull out their wallets every time!”
The Summer Unlimited package includes:
Two hours of mountain biking daily. With 100 miles of hiking and bike trails, Waterville Valley offers miles of riding to fit every taste, from flat and easy paths to down-and-dirty backwoods trails for experienced mountain bikers. The experts at the Adventure Center in Waterville Valley’s Town Square will adjust your bike for comfort and safety.
A ride on Snow's Mountain Chair Lift. Ride to the top of Snow’s Mountain and catch stunning views of the 770,000 acres of White Mountain National Forest that surround Waterville Valley. Ride the lift back down, hike or bike down. It’s up to you.
Unlimited Tennis. Perfect your game on one of Waterville Valley’s 18 award-winning outdoor clay courts.
Unlimited use of the White Mountain Athletic Club. Enjoy indoor and outdoor swimming pools, whirlpools, saunas, and cardio & weight rooms, just a short walk or trolley ride from your accommodations.
Unlimited Ice Skating. Throughout the summer, cool mountain breezes keep Waterville Valley comfortable. But on those rare summer days when it’s too hot to be outside — or you’re simply up for something different — enjoy unlimited ice skating in Waterville's indoor arena. Forgot to bring your skates? No problem. Rentals are available.
Daily golf. Enjoy nine holes every day at the beautiful Waterville Valley Golf Club, a family-friendly course for players of all abilities. Parents can break away from the kids for a leisurely game or bring them along for a fun afternoon on the links.
Unlimited transportation. The Waterville Valley Shuttle, an open air trolley, runs daily for quick transport between activities or a leisurely scenic ride around the valley.
Boating on Corcoran's Pond. Take a spin around Corcoran Pond in the heart of Town Square with a kayak, pedal boat or canoe from the adventure center. Your Summer Unlimited pass entitles you to one hour daily per person.
Open Gym Programs. Rainy day? Again, no problem. The Town of Waterville Valley Recreation Department Enjoy has a full-size gym with basketball court and packed with toys, balls and mats for playing. Your Summer Unlimited pass gets you in.
For even more fun, you can add “a la carte” options to your Summer Unlimited package: skateboarding at the Waterville Valley Skate Park; day camp for kids with the Town of Waterville Valley Recreation Department; live theatre with Shakespeare in the Valley and the North Country Center for the Arts Children's Theatre; and the many arts, cultural, and nature programs offered by the Curious George Cottage and Rey Center, including nature walks and astronomy nights throughout the summer.
Welcome to Waterville Valley
Once visitors arrive, they often head to Town Square and the adjacent Corcoran’s Pond. This is the hub of activity in Waterville Valley with shopping, dining and both outdoor and rainy day fun.
The Town of Waterville Valley Recreation Department offers plenty to do at Corcoran’s Pond during the summer months and nearly all of it is included in the Summer Unlimited Package. Want to take a quick dip? Bring the beach chairs and enjoy the afternoon by the water. Rent a pedal boat or practice your rowing skills in a canoe or kayak. The Summer Unlimited pass gives guests a one-hour rental per person per day. During your stay, keep an eye on the Recreation Department schedule for special events and cook-outs at the pond.
Also located in Town Square is the Margret & H.A. Rey Center, dedicated to the authors of the beloved children’s book, Curious George. The center promotes both the arts and sciences, featuring reading, art, nature and astronomy seminars. Use the Summer Unlimited pass for a little quiet time with the kids. The Margret & H.A. Rey Center hosts a Curious George storytelling every Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., where parents and children can curl up and listen to the classic story of that mischievous monkey.
A few doors down from the Rey Center is I Dream of Beading, a bead store that offers free jewelry making classes to Summer Unlimited pass holders. I Dream of Beading will help you create your own beaded bracelet, necklace or anklet and provide the wire and closure. Beads and clasp are not included, but you can make up to one piece per person each day of your stay.
Located in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest, Waterville Valley is surrounded by 100 miles of trails, many of which have been there for more than 100 years. Visitors can use their Summer Unlimited pass for a two-hour mountain bike rental from the Adventure Center in Town Square. The Center not only adjusts all bike rentals for comfort and safety, but can guide riders to the trails that best suit their mood.
If you’re looking to kick up your mountain biking experience a notch, break out your Summer Unlimited pass again for a ride up the Snow’s Mountain Chair Lift at the Waterville Valley Ski area. On the way up, enjoy fantastic views of the White Mountain National Forest. On the way down, challenge yourself on the steep trails or enjoy a steady decline on one of the beginner trails.
Of course the Snow’s Mountain Chair Lift isn’t just for mountain bikers. Visitors using their Summer Unlimited ride to the top can also take the lift back down or hike to the bottom. It’s up to you.
