Cruise1st, the UK based cruise specialists, are about to launch a new website offering cruises to customers in Australia. The new site will be launched in July 2010 and it is expected to offer something that no other Australian Cruise website offers. The new site will be the first of its kind to allow customers the opportunity to book every single element of their cruise in one, simple transaction.

Cruise1st is owned by the well known cruise line, Royal Caribbean cruises. However, they offer cruises from a huge range of cruise lines, including both global lines such as Celebrity, and more local lines, specific to customer’s particular countries.

Sandy Greenwood has been named as the new general manager of the Australian branch of Cruise1st and it has also been announced that up to 15 members of staff will be working in the new offices based in North Sydney. The staff will be on hand to help with any enquiries, and having a staffed office means that customers who would rather not book online, have the opportunity to go into the offices and speak to a customer advisor, placing their booking in person instead.

Greenwood said, “High street travel agents are increasingly finding that they have to lower their prices to compete with cruise deals from online specialists such as Cruise1st. We think that this is the right time to offer our services in Australia, a country which is very “cruise positive”.

The launch of the site is expected to be accompanied by a big advertising campaign, utilising both print and online strategies to spread the word about the new services on offer.
