The Fallen Faithful, Producer PJ Leonard’s Other Side of the River Productions, will host a red carpet premier event at the Arclight Theatre in Hollywood, Monday June 21st at 7:30PM. "The Fallen Faithful" is the fifth film produced by Leonard's Other Side of the River Productions. As a Jersey City, New Jersey native and son of a longshoreman, Leonard wants to focus on diverse innovative works. “The Fallen Faithful” follows the journey of Moran Douglas (Sonny Marinelli), a ruthless killer, now riddled with inner turmoil based on the confusion of his early childhood. Orphaned at a young age Moran is reared by juxtaposed surrogate fathers, Asa (Mark Margolis) a power hungry psychopath, and Father Emanual (Obba Babatunde) a man of God and reason. Moran's story begs the question... Was his life molded by decisions made for him or by him?
The film stars Sonny Marinelli who has appeared in numerous films, including “Noel” and “Dot.Kill” and TV series, including "Raising the Bar," "Blind Justice," and “That’s Life”. Marinelli's character represents the classic battle between good and evil.
The film also stars Obba Babatundé (Father Emanual) a man of God and reason. The actor has more than 100 film and TV credits, including "Grey's Anatomy," "John Q," "Criminal Minds," "NCIS," "The Notebook," "Boston Legal" and "Cold Case." He was in the original "Dreamgirls" on Broadway, was nominated for an Emmy for his work in "Miss Evers' Boys" on HBO and also starred opposite Halle Berry in “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge”. Other film credits include, “That Thing You Do” and “Philadelphia”.
Veteran character actor Mark Margolis (Asa) plays a power hungry psychopath. Margolis has been working in films and television since the 1970s. Among his most memorable roles, are Al Moody on Showtime’s “Californication”, Tio on the AMC drama, “Breaking Bad”, feature film roles in “Gone Baby Gone”, “The Wrestler”, and “Defiance”. Elizabeth Regen, known for her roles in sitcoms "Sherri" and "Whoopi," penned the script for “The Fallen Faithful”.
Also appearing in "The Fallen Faithful" are Patrick Gallagher, who has had recurring roles in "True Blood" and "Glee," Jaquelyn Pi ñol, Alan Smyth, Zeus Mendoza and Eric Payne round out the cast. The film is directed by Hungarian born Csaba Bereczky. “The Fallen Faithful” offers a unique perspective on man’s choices and consequences.
