Irvine based design agency, Visual Identity Group has launched a new website for Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse, a restaurant chain with 49 locations throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse is owned and operated by CB Holding Corp., with headquarters in Mountainside, New Jersey.

Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse is owned and operated by CB Holding Corp., with headquarters in Mountainside, New Jersey.

The new Charlie Brown’s website, http://www.charliebrowns.com features a major update for both the brand image as well as making the site forward thinking with regard to web technology. CB Holding Corp. wanted to create a look and feel that showcased the new direction of the restaurant by giving it a “classic steakhouse” feel. The website launch coincided with the new Charlie Brown’s menu release. The Visual Identity Group design team incorporated features and designs found at the restaurants and recreated them while making sure that major functionality such as the Location Finder, Gift Cards, What’s Happening and The Handshake Club were prominently featured.

"Building the website was just as challenging as designing it”, said Jason Weamer, Creative Director of Visual Identity Group. “The goal was to make sure that the site content was viewable across multiple platforms such desktop PCs/Macs, as well as mobile devices like the popular iPhone. In order to do this, certain web technologies were required such as JavaScript for animation and interactivity, Google Maps for the location finder and getting directions, and incorporating third party components for features like The Handshake Club.
