Denver, CO (Vocus) June 17, 2010
To celebrate Bike to Work Day on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, Denver Pavilions presents Bike Rack & Roll. It's the city's largest free bike parking facility and includes entertaining lunchtime festivities and freebies. Covered bike parking is available between 7 am and 6 pm on Glenarm, between 15th and 16th Streets. Participants must bring their own bike lock and pick up their bike by 6 pm.
“We’re thrilled we were able to tie into Bike to Work day with Bike Rack & Roll. We’re able to transform a major city street into a huge bike rack. It’s a glimpse at what could become a future, green reality in cities across America,” said Wendy Manning, Marketing Director at Denver Pavilions.
The first 100 riders that park their bike for three consecutive hours on Glenarm Place will receive a gift card from Denver Pavilions ranging from $5-$50. Every biker who parks at Denver Pavilions will receive a 7-day pass to Colorado Athletic Club Downtown. Maggiano's Little Italy will provide a certificate for lunch for 10 guests (alcohol not included) to the company who parks the most bikes at Denver Pavilions on that day.
A charity PEDAL-A-THON will be onsite comprised of 30 stationary cycles. The event will help raise money for the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure. Instructors and bikes will be provided by Colorado Athletic Club. The PEDAL-A-THON takes place from 11:30am - 1:30pm. Registration and additional event details are online at http://www.DenverPavilions.com under Bike Rack & Roll.
