First there was the Salad Bar, then the Yogurt Bar, now how about a Stationery Bar? This new summer activity is found at a paper store, Silver Papery.
The idea is the same. The customer can buy exactly what is wanted. In this case, the customer can create their own custom stationery set by choosing from over 18 flat cards or note cards in assorted designs and colors. This is how it's done:
1. Select ten pieces of paper from the bar (all alike or completely different).
2. Choose from an assortment of liners to enhance the envelopes.
3. Have a name or monogram and return address printed on the paper and envelopes at Silver Papery. (Optional)
4. Wrap it up in a clear bag with a coordinating bow.
The possibilities are endless and all for around $20 and 0 calories. (http://www.silverpapery.com/stationery/flat-cards/donovan-designs) This new activity is suitable for adults and/or kids in need of stationery or looking to pass the time on a summer day. The finished product can be used for traditional writing purposes or for crafts.
"Today's paper consumer is wanting more custom features and this new product allows them complete control over their stationery selections, " said Kathy Schwartz, owner of Silver Papery. "For the first time, if they desire, a customer can package ten different designs and liners together, for a one-of-a-kind stationery set."
The Stationery Bar is the brainchild of Donavan Designs (http://www.donovandesigns.com). The company is known for its array of paper products, from traditional designs to contemporary.
