Petroleum and Nutrition Newsletters Increase Over Last Five Years, According to Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters

Petroleum and Nutrition newsletters jumped in number over the last five years, with 109 percent (117-242) and 95 percent (37-71) growth respectively. In addition, online and email newsletters increased from 1,576 to 6,429, with only 3,550 newsletters currently available in print-only format, according to the Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters 2010 edition, released today.

In addition to Petroleum and Nutrition newsletters, Investment newsletters are up 62 percent (562-895) and Food newsletters increased 61 percent (63-102), from 2005 to 2010. Business newsletters grew 58 percent, from 250 to 376, during the same time period.

Significant increases over the past year occurred in the Pet category from 49 to 64 titles (26.5%) and the Food category from 82 - 106 (24%). Computer titles decreased from 1,039 to 877 (15.6%), in the same period.

Legal newsletters continue to outnumber any other category in 2010, with 1,226 print and online newsletters. The other top categories are Investment (895), Computers (877), Medicine (778), Library (645), Health & Fitness (547) and Education (431).

"Overall, newsletters are holding their own, with new newsletters continuing to launch, such as Distressed Assets Reporter and eMediaVitals," said Trish Hagood, President of Oxbridge Communications, Inc.
