This Original Work is Written and Performed by Gary Bairos.

Arts Alive of Chicago in conjunction with Junkyard Dog Productions is pleased to announce that the play "Jimmy Gamble" will be in Whitefire Theatre's One-Act Festival. This performance of "Jimmy Gamble" will be July 8, 2010, at 7 p.m. Whitefire Theatre is located at 13500 Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, California.

This play is the 70-minute journey through the life of Jimmy Gamble, the self-professed greatest handicapper in the country, as he wrestles with his obsession of playing the ponies. It is the story of a man on a mission to reach his ultimate goal - fulfilling his grandmother's legacy of Hitting the Big One. When Bairos performed "Jimmy Gamble" at a theater festival in Chicago last summer, Broadway World called it "riveting" and "breath-takingly great" and said "This is what theater is all about."

General admission for "Jimmy Gamble" is $15. Seniors and students with appropriate ID can get tickets for half-price by using code 008 when purchasing tickets on-line at least three hours prior to show time. Get tickets, reservations and more information at: http://www.plays411.com/jimmygamble
