Point Pleasant, NJ (PRWEB) June 23, 2010
Riding alongside various other companies and individuals, friends and family of East Coast Brewing Co. helped the brewers of Beach Haus® Classic American Pilsner meet and exceed their fundraising goal. The Beach Haus team raised 100% more than they originally pledged, and look forward to raising even more money next year for “Coast the Coast”.
“It was a really nice ride,” said Brian Ciriaco, co-founder of East Coast Brewing Co. “This ride gave us, or at least me, the opportunity to slow down and see the different stores, houses and other cool buildings that I never noticed before.”
“Yeah,” added John Merklin, also co-founder of East Coast Brewing Co. “It was a good ride that allowed you to spend time with everyone on your team, get to know others that are riding for the same cause and have fun.”
The event was run by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, New Jersey Metro Chapter, and offered five different length rides. Over the course of two days, riders partook in a 170-mile ride down the flat terrain of the Jersey Shore, starting at the top – Monmouth University - and ending at the bottom – Historic Cape May.
Brian Ciriaco and John Merklin signed up with the other members of their team to trek the 25-mile ride through beachfront towns including Deal and Belmar. They have also riding for MS for years, a cause that is quite close to them.
East Coast Brewing Co., the parent company of Beach Haus® Classic American Pilsner, was also a Bronze Sponsor of the event.
