Website Analyzes Skin Wrinkles, Discoloration, and Acne For Determining Product Efficacy

Share Article

Website allows users to upload photographs of their skin and quantify their wrinkles, discoloration, or acne. The idea is to do this before and after beginning a new skincare regimen, in order to quantify the efficacy of the new product or treatment.

Users of can now quantify the effect that a skin care product is having on their own skin. Users can upload a "before" photograph and find their "wrinkle index," a quantitative assessment of their wrinkles. After undergoing a cosmetic procedure or applying a new skin care product, the user can
upload an "after" photo and determine his or her updated wrinkle index, thus quantifying the effectiveness of the treatment or product.

Similarly, users can measure the improvement in their skin's discoloration/hyperpigmentation or acne before and after undergoing a treatment.

Users take their own photographs with an ordinary digital camera. Lighting and facial expression should be as similar as possible in each photo. Photos should be of the full face, with both ears showing, and be zoomed so that the forehead is at the top and the chin is at the bottom of the photo.
