Texas-Based Electric Provider Awards More Than $52,000 to Help Nonprofits Increase Energy Efficiency

First Choice Power is awarding 26 Texas nonprofits Reduce Your Use GrantsTM for energy-efficiency products and services.

These grants enable nonprofits around Texas to decrease their energy use, allowing them to dedicate their time and resources toward the long-term vision of achieving their missions

First Choice Power is awarding 26 Texas nonprofits Reduce Your Use GrantsTM. The grants, valued as much as $2,000 each, are awarded to local organizations that display a need and desire to save money on their electricity bill by using eco-friendly and energy-efficient products. The grants will be used to fund purchasing products ranging from light bulbs to appliances and windows.

"These grants enable nonprofits around Texas to decrease their energy use, allowing them to dedicate their time and resources toward the long-term vision of achieving their missions," said Brian Hayduk, president of First Choice Power.

The following nonprofits located in communities served by First Choice Power will be receiving funds:

  •     Brazoria County Historical Museum, Inc. - Angleton, Texas
  •     Brownwood Beautification Commission, Inc. - Brownwood, Texas
  •     Camp Summit, Inc - Dallas, Texas
  •     Christian Community Action - Lewisville, Texas
  •     Clifton Chamber Of Commerce - Clifton, Texas
  •     Coryell County Museum Foundation Inc - Gatesville, Texas
  •     Discovery Science Place Inc - Tyler, Texas
  •     Food Bank Of The Rio Grande Valley Inc - McAllen, Texas
  •     Freeman Center - Waco, Texas
  •     Friends of The La Marque Public Library - LaMarque, Texas
  •     Goodall-Witcher Health Care Foundation - Clifton, Texas
  •     Greater Angleton Chamber of Commerce - Angleton, Texas
  •     Happy Hill Farm Children's Home Inc - Granbury, Texas
  •     Interfaith Caring Ministries Inc - League City, Texas
