Linvio, Inc. today announced it has launched its new app on salesforce.com's ChatterExchange, helping to accelerate the market shift to Cloud 2, the next cloud computing paradigm. Linvio Mini-Store is among the first apps to leverage the social components of Chatter available on the Force.com platform. These new apps can all be found on the ChatterExchange, a brand new category for social enterprise apps that is now part of AppExchange 2.

Linvio Mini-Store leverages the company’s current payment management framework, PaymentConnect™, to provide users with click-to-configure store fronts using Force.com Sites. The solution takes advantage of the new Chatter social capabilities, allowing companies to monitor and collaborate on customer acquisition and e-commerce transactions. Products and services can be sold directly with payment processing, order management and transaction-based workflow all managed on Force.com.

Comments on the News

  •     “Salesforce.com Chatter is a natural extension to the PaymentConnect suite of products. Now the storefront can interact with users just as colleagues would interact with each other, keeping users apprised and making their business responsive to the market,” said Ron Wild, president and chief technology officer at Linvio.
  •     Kendall Collins, chief marketing officer of salesforce.com, said, “The shift to Cloud 2 with Chatter lowers the communication barriers by opening up collaboration. Apps on the ChatterExchange, like Linvio Mini-Store, are a great example of bringing users together as though they were colleagues sitting right next to each other.”

Companies of all sizes and all industries have realized that cloud computing can deliver tremendous success with low cost and is fast and easy to use. With the rise of Facebook, Google and Twitter, companies are now transitioning to Cloud 2, employing the social networking features made popular by the consumer Web, and deploying them in the enterprise entirely in the cloud.

Linvio Mini-Store is a native Force.com app that provides click-to-configure e-commerce landing pages supporting subscriptions, product sales, and donations. The application is an add-on to Linvio PaymentConnect for salesforce.com, and provides an end-to-end storefront to fulfillment solution for salesforce.com users, including integration with payment processors, payment management tools, product management, and workflow automation hooks.
