Spoke Software, Inc., early innovator of personal connections management (PCM) technology, has appointed Silicon Valley venture capitalist Philippe Cases as CEO.

A specialist in the intersection of web, analytics and customer relationship management (CRM) technologies, Cases was recruited to re-focus the company’s cloud-based service back to investors’ original vision – leverage their lifetime of personal contacts to discover and re-connect with specific people that can help them with current needs.

“Throughout life we’ve made hundreds, even thousands, of meaningful connections with people. They’re all part of our ‘social capital’,” stated Cases. “But, this social capital doesn’t have much value if we can’t leverage it when we need it. And, now with the emergence of social networks, the problem is becoming worse.”

Emphasizing the growing challenge to stay connected, Cases cites a recent internal survey showing that 50% of their visitors have over 50 percent of the information in their contact databases out of date. “Traditional address books and contacts management systems are time consuming to maintain,” Cases said. “People spend countless hours building new relationships because they can’t leverage the ones they already have. Face it. Most people address books are bankrupt.

“That’s what Spoke is for. It enables people to leverage their lifetime of personal contacts by discovering and re-connecting with specific people that can help them with current needs – even if they no longer remember their names or how they originally met! In a way, Spoke is an address book on steroids.”
