Rosemont, IL (PRWEB) June 24, 2010

As it completes the final stages of a multi-year renovation, the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel & Conference Center (http://www.CrownePlazaOHare.com), 5440 N. River Rd., has added three new food and beverage offerings, plus a business center, two boardrooms, and a new concept meeting space that is rentable by the hour.

“These exciting additions mark the completion of yet another phase toward our hotel’s total transformation,” explained Patty Connolly, Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare general manager.

New Food and Beverage Options
The Chicago Fire Oven is the hotel’s new upscale casual dining restaurant. Its name reflects the stone hearth oven that serves as its focal point, and which yields many of its signature menu items, including thin-crust pizzas with choice of 24 toppings; grilled burgers, steaks, chicken and fish; roasted artichoke and spinach dip; even a roasted vegetable sandwich. The high-heat oven also is the secret ingredient in the restaurant’s house-roasted tomato-based pasta sauces, and the baguette parmesan “rings” served with the salads.    Many menu items are available to hotel guests via room service.

“With its approachable, casual atmosphere, the Chicago Fire Oven is a refreshing addition to the O’Hare area dining scene, and an alternative to the pricier chain restaurants nearby,” said Connolly.

Adjacent to the Chicago Fire Oven, and wrapping around the hotel’s indoor swimming pool, is the new Visibility Bar – literally, the place to see and be seen. The menu features 10 beers on tap, signature martinis, the full Chicago Fire Oven menu, plus daily specials. Flat-screen televisions are located throughout, including in a private lounge area, where patrons can view their favorite programs or sporting events, or try their hand at a variety of Wii games, compliments of the hotel.

Guests in a hurry will appreciate the fast, high-quality options – including fresh-baked breakfast pastries, yogurt, fruit, gourmet sandwiches, salads, juices, energy drinks, and Starbuck’s coffee – at the hotel’s new On The Fly “grab and go” concept conveniently located on the lobby level.

New Business Center, Boardrooms, Boardroom Express
Taking care of business is easier with the hotel’s new business center equipped with five computer-outfitted workstations, a printer, scanner/copier and plenty of plush seating for laptop users. There is no need to work on an empty stomach either, as the full menu from the Chicago Fire Oven is available for delivery.

The hotel has also added two 16-seat boardrooms, both with the high-end décor, lighting and finishes used elsewhere in the property’s recently renovated guest rooms and meeting spaces.

For smaller groups, it created Boardroom Express, an eight-seat conference room that rents by the hour. “Available 24/7, it’s ideal for those seeking a professional, private setting near O’Hare to conduct interviews, board meetings, depositions or similar events,” said Connolly.

Background
In mid-2009, the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel & Conference Center completed a two-year, multi-million dollar renovation of all 503 guest rooms and suites. In early 2010, the remodeled O’Hare International Ballroom – at 23,500 square feet, one of the largest column-free rooms in the O’Hare area – was unveiled, along with more than 4,000 square feet of pre-function space showcasing new high-end décor, state-of-the-art LED chandeliers and finishes mirroring the renovated guest rooms and suites.

With its prime location just 1.5 miles from O’Hare International Airport, across from the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, and adjacent to the Rosemont Theater, the hotel regularly hosts training sessions, conferences and trade shows in many industries, as well as religious gatherings, self-help seminars, dance competitions and weddings.
