Senior Management Team Expands to Accelerate Company’s Rapid Growth and Success in New and Changing Markets

GuidedChoice, a leading provider of investment advice, managed account services, and strategic solutions for corporate and public retirement plans, has announced the addition of two key team members: David Bernard joins the company as Senior Vice President of Business Development, and David Brounley comes aboard as Senior Vice President of Sales.

The two veteran financial services executives bring a wealth of experience to the GuidedChoice team. “Building our core strength continues to be an important priority, especially given the growth our company has seen and our long-term goals,” says CEO Sherrie Grabot. “Together, Dave and David provide us with a strong balance of experience, knowledge and fresh strategic perspectives.”

Dave Bernard, the new SVP of Business Development, is based in the company’s La Jolla, CA headquarters. His focus will be on building relationships in the retirement services and investment advisory markets.

Mr. Bernard has spent much of his 25-year career in the defined contribution market, providing institutional brokerage and retirement strategy to many of the country’s largest employers as well as financial services and consulting firms.

Before joining GuidedChoice, Mr. Bernard was President of WealthPoint Advisors, a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm specializing in retirement plans. Previously, he was Founder and Managing Director of Harris Direct’s Institutional Brokerage Services unit, where he was responsible for strategic direction, product strategy, sales, marketing and client relationship management.

He has also held senior executive positions at Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management and Charles Schwab Company. He holds a BA in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, as well as numerous professional licenses and is a Chartered Financial Consultant (CHfC). In addition, Mr. Bernard is on the board of two emerging science and bio-tech firms as well as director of the country’s largest youth rugby organization.

As Senior Vice President, Sales, David Brounley will work from GuidedChoice’s Connecticut office, focusing primarily on sales activities with retirement plans, providers, and advisors. He brings more than 25 years of financial services experience to GuidedChoice, much of it focused on providing objective financial advice to consumers

Prior to joining GuidedChoice, Mr. Brounley was the head of advice at ING Financial Advisers, LLC where he was responsible for the creation, distribution and fiduciary oversight of advisory solutions to ING customers. He came to ING from American Express Financial Advisors, where he held several executive positions in the U.S. and international markets. He holds a BA in Economics from DePauw University and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS), Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS) and a Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor (CRPC).

GuidedChoice’s Tom Condron assumes the role of Executive Vice President, of Client Relationships, to lead the expanded team, guide the company’s growth strategy, and take an active role in building customer relationships. “We’re very excited about working with Dave and David, especially since they bring such strong experience to bear on our specific areas of focus,” says Condron. “Our market has always been a complex environment, and today it’s evolving rapidly.
