Dream Home Awards has awarded 33 builders, architects, designers, developers and tradesmen from across the nation for their excellence in a variety of areas.
The awards, honoring trend-setting products and technology from the past year, were given to professionals who have helped take the home building industry to a new level. Winners received recognition in the June issue of hab-i-ta-tion Design Magazine.
“We are thrilled to give this award to the individuals and companies who have gone above and beyond to provide truly innovative and cutting-edge products for their customers,” said Kelly Michele, Education Chair of Dream Home Awards. “These professionals are transforming the industry in an extremely positive way.”
The 33 categories included Historic Renovation of the Year, Conceptual Projects, Community of the Year and Best Green Home Project.
Builder R.J. Perritt of Amherst, OH, took home the Best Home Specialty Project award for an environmentally friendly home, the proceeds of which went to the Ronald McDonald House. Winn Wittman of Austin, TX, was recognized for Best Innovation in Green Technology for improving energy efficiency by 33 percent in homes by installing aluminum panels.
Perritt and Wittman, along with 31 other talent professionals, were awarded for their outstanding work based on factors such as quality of design, livability, sustainability and the ability to provide healthy and nurturing environments for consumers.
