Working with Pack-Smart, a leading worldwide supplier of automated packaging equipment, Budco designed a fully automated, high capacity production and assembly solution to support their growing product sampling and fulfillment business.

“Automated, high-speed packaging and finishing has been part of Budco’s production and assembly arsenal for many years,” said Budco Executive Vice President of Operations Rob Hyman. “But, we are seeing more and more complex requirements around product sample fulfillment, especially from clients in the pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods industries, so we have invested in the newest, high-tech solutions to ensure we continue to provide cost-effective, best-in-class service.”

This new technology uses an automated inline process to assemble and package product samples of all types in preparation for mailing to consumers. Samples might include over the counter drugs, cosmetics, food or a variety of other household products.

“This new equipment is based on an integrated platform, so we have a great deal of flexibility to reconfigure it on the fly to accommodate new or changing packaging requirements. It is all part of our approach that combines effective automation and our related competencies, such as digital print, lettershop, fulfillment and contact center support, to provide clients reduced costs, quality delivery and speed to market,” added Hyman.
